People who eat this plant believe that they get vitality and also keep away from worry and overthinking. but it's not as they think, because this plant is a drug plant, and fights with time, health, finances, etc.
Most of the khat plant comes to Somalia from two countries namely Ethiopia and Kenya. Ethiopia comes from the khat known as "Hareeri", and the tree is a less powerful tree compared to the other tree.
From Kenya we have the khat called "Mirow", it is a very fragrant plant, and it fights with the health of the person who eats it, the economy. And there are many dangerous drugs that choose the mind.
Khat contains two substances, cathine and cathinone, which belong to the amphetamine family of drugs.
They eat the leaves and young branches of the khat, and the reason they eat it is because of its intoxicating action. While the drug is in the person who consumes it, he feels active and comfortable but that he believes.
He takes the khat away from the person eating what is called Hararat, where the person shouts when the khat arrives saying "It's fallen", which you hear all the time in the markets and stadiums.
This is a situation where the person who is thinking about it reaches a point where his mind is disturbed, while on earth he thinks he is walking on the surface of the moon, and it sometimes causes him to lose his clothes or become dizzy. he wants to talk while he is intoxicated.
